Nine shortlisted for South Tyneside business award
Hebburn-based software house nine has been shortlisted for the Most Innovative Business at the South Tyneside Business Awards 2013, being held in South Shields in September 2013.
Recognising the cream of South Tyneside’s thriving and innovative businesses community, the highly anticipated awards celebrate excellence in 8 categories ranging from Newcomer and Manufacturer of the Year to Service Company and Apprentice of the Year.
A fast growing company, nine specialises solely on creating bespoke software solutions, bridging the gap between what a company wants to achieve and how it can be physically achieved via software, to give companies a competitive edge.
The Most Innovative Business Award sponsored by Siemens, recognises the innovation and differentiation displayed in the creation and launch of a new product or service. Nine are a prime example of a company leading the way in innovation with their fresh and forward thinking approach to software development.
From globally recognised brand names including P&G, Barbour, the NHS, Gentoo and BT to entrepreneurs with a great idea, for example Harlow Printing, NHS Gooroo, RHI and Car2U, nine has developed world class software solutions that have the revolutionised the way companies work.
Nine recently developed a mobile solution for a car hire company which eliminates the need for time consuming administration and enabling customers to sign for the vehicle delivery/collection electronically. This solution has enhanced the company’s offering, improved the customer experience due to fast information transfer and accurate records and generated additional revenue – meaning the company is running a more efficient business, saving time and money.
Andy Walton, Managing Director at nine, said: “South Tyneside is a fantastic place to operate a business and the South Tyneside Business Awards reflects the diverse nature of businesses which are making their mark in the region.
“At nine, we are passionate about innovation and being at the forefront of our industry, so I’m delighted to have been shortlisted in the Most Innovative Business Award category alongside some of the region’s most respected companies.”
The winners will be announced at the South Tyneside Business Awards dinner, at South Shield’s Foreshore on Thursday 12 September 2013.
