Sheffield's Azzure IT tackles ambitious growth plans
Sheffield’s Azzure IT is expanding operations following funding from RBS.
Azzure doubled staff levels in 2012 and increased turnover fourfold in the same period. The firm is now moving to bigger premises and taking on four new members of staff.
Managing director, Craig Such, said: “We have experienced unprecedented growth over the last year. We’ve acquired a lot of new customers over the last few months and now we’re preparing for our next phase of growth – taking on the extra resource ahead of expected demand.
“We presented RBS with our recent successes – being the fastest ever Microsoft Partner to achieve the prestigious status of Microsoft Dynamics Gold ERP Partner, our solid track-record and strong business plan, and they provided the funding we needed to purchase the building. We couldn’t have done it without them.
“My growth ambitions over the next year are to double turnover and continue adding new customers – plus, we will be working with Microsoft on initiatives and adding good quality staff to the team.”
Azzure chose Sheffield, for its fast transport links and proximity to adjacent Advanced Manufacturing Park, a dynamic community of high-tech companies.
Craig added: “Supporting the local economy is important to me. Three of our new starters live locally, and we’re very proud to work for a lot of local businesses in manufacturing, construction and distribution, as well as further afield.”
Azzure’s new starters include: Marisol Sanz-Blesa starts as a technical consultant; Ed Greenhough, a recent graduate from Sheffield University who joins as a junior consultant; Chris, the new Developer, joins the company from BT Engage IT; and Dee Cook, an application consultant.
