Warwickshire financial advisers support successful Warwick flower show
Adrian Smith & Partners Ltd (ASPL), a leading Warwickshire financial advice company, sponsored this year’s Warwick Flower show which organisers hailed as one of the best ever.
ASPL, based in Meriden, was the sole sponsor of the event which was so popular that an extra tent for exhibitors had to be used at the eleventh hour.
Adrian Smith, an ASPL director who established the company in 1999, said he was delighted ASPL was able to give its backing to the event, which attracted visitors to St Nicholas Park in Warwick on a busy Sunday and a sun-drenched August Bank Holiday Monday. “I live in Warwick, so was keen for ASPL support a local community event,” said Mr Smith.
“My wife Carolyn, who’s a co-founder at the business, is a keen gardener and it was something we were really happy to get behind.”
Mr Smith said one highlight of the weekend was being given the chance, along with his family, to choose the winners of the best scarecrow competition. An annual Bank Holiday on event since the 1940s, the show is organised by the Warwick Horticultural and Allotment Society (WHAS) and features flowers, plants and crafts from the local area.
There were hundreds of exhibits in more than 70 different classes. WHAS chairman Peter Booty said there were so many entries this year that he and his team had spilled out into an extra tent.
He said: “It was a great weekend, and I’d really like to thank everyone who helped make it a success. ASPL’s sponsorship of the classes and the prizes meant that we didn’t have to seek financial support from many different local companies. ASPL’s support was enough.ip
“This was by far the most successful show – in terms of organisation and number of entrants – that I’ve been involved with.”
ASPL are financial planning specialists and were established in 1999 in central Solihull, West Midlands premises, before purchasing offices in Meriden, Warwickshire in 2005.
