Yorkshire recruiter grows fish and seafood production client base
Specialist Yorkshire recruiter, Stafforce, has expanded its seafood processing portfolio after being signed up to work with Jonas Seafood as recruitment partner on its new crab processing plant in Cromer.
The Rotherham-headquartered company, which has a national footprint and Yorkshire offices in Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford and Hull, already has a decade-long working relationship with Young’s Seafood, supplying thousands of staff to sites around the country in that time. It also services other producers, such as The Big Prawn Company and The Cromer Crab Company.
Stafforce’s new role has seen it supporting Jonas Seafood in the appointment of ten full time and five part time staff within the company and it will be recruiting more production workers as the business grows and in the run-up to Christmas.
Jonas Seafood has invested around £500,000 in its new crab production plant to create a state-of-the-art facility which will enable the company to offer its crab and lobster products to a broader customer base. It expects a very positive start to the new business, as the company has a number of contracts in place with major food service companies and is looking to expand this to a wider range of seafood products in the future.
Tony Boorman, director of Stafforce, said: “We are delighted to be working with Jonas Seafood to create new local jobs. We have a lot of experience in recruiting for the fish and seafood industries and it is fantastic to be involved with such a great success story.”
Stafforce services all levels of recruitment, from finding the right apprentices for an organisation to recruiting the most senior people in a business. It claims to support local people in finding work nationwide, as well as offering a broader range of services and expertise to its clients, including business improvement training and other specialist consulting services.
