Feast Market set for Manchester return

The Manchester Feast Market is set to return this month.

The event will take place in St Ann’s Square in the city centre from Wednesday 18 September to Sunday 29 September.

The market will bring together over 30 of the North West’s best farmers and food producers to offer a wealth of gastronomic delights.

Providing a unique open air shopping experience in the heart of Manchester city centre the market will be a must visit location for shoppers searching for extra special ingredients or looking for an alternative to the their local supermarket.

Among the appetising treats available will be local cheeses from both the Cheshire Cheese Company and The Saddleworth Cheese Company, freshly made bread from Robinsons of Failsworth and ready to use curry mixes from Mrs Shah’s Food Company.

For the first time the Feast Market will also feature the new Pavement Café Bar, serving up locally sourced soft drinks along with draft English ales.

And of course, the market will be the perfect place to stop by and enjoy food from around the globe, including Kong Pao chicken from Ying Huang Foods, seekh kebabs from Zouk Deli Ltd and homemade sausages crafted by Street Dogs.

The feast market will also be holding the Microbrewery Real Ale Festival on Thursday 19 and Tuesday 24 September that is certain to be unmissable for all discerning beer connoisseurs.

Councillor Bernard Priest, Manchester City Council executive member for neighbourhood services, said: “Filling St Ann’s Square with delicious aromas and tastes the Feast Market is certain to once again be a huge draw for gourmets this autumn.

“The market is ideal for anyone looking for culinary inspiration to pick up produce of the highest quality and with the new Pavement Café Bar St Ann’s Square will be offering visitor the chance to enjoy an extra-special lunch or relax with friends after work.”
