Proton Power Sytems scoop €857k Siemens contract

Newcastle-registered Proton Power Systems has secured a contract with Siemens worth €857,000.

Over the next 12 months the firm will provide secure power supply systems, known as UPS systems, for hospital equipment.

Proton’s German subsidiary, SPower, will undertake the project. The firm specialise in Hydrogen fuel cells and Hydrogen fuel cell electric hybrid systems.

John Wall, Chairman of Proton said: “We won the largest project with Siemens in our history. This proves the reliability of our products and the excellent working relationship with Siemens.

“The UPS market is growing worldwide and we will expand our activities in that market segment with UPS products with batteries and fuel cells.”
