County Durham firm scoops top kitchen industry award
A family-run County Durham kitchen manufacturer has scooped a top industry award.
PWS, based on Aycliffe Business Park, Newton Aycliffe, has been voted kitchen product supplier of the year 2013 by members of KBSA, the UK’s leading kitchen trade association.
The KBSA awards recognises excellence in those companies that supply products to KBSA retailers, representing the views and experiences of retailers as opposed to a panel of judges.
KBSA chief executive Graham Ball said: “The KBSA supplier awards are a genuine reflection of how their suppliers perform. It really is as simple as that.
“Members give excellent service to their clients, and so rely on the same levels from their suppliers.
“There was little doubt this year that PWS have delivered exactly what our members wanted so it is a well-deserved award.”
The coveted product supplier accolade is one of only three award categories and KBSA retailers are invited to vote for their top companies as part of the KBSA’s annual supplier survey.
PWS, a fourth-generation family business based in Newton Aycliffe, is no stranger to receiving industry awards.
The prestigious KBSA accolade is proof of PWS’s position as a recognised market leader in the design and supply of quality kitchen components and worksurfaces.
The firm’s sales and marketing director John Lennon said: “As corporate KBSA members our values are closely aligned to the Associations’ vision of promoting excellence and professionalism in design.
“Knowing that KBSA retailers have voted us as their product supplier of the year is a great reflection on our company and we are delighted and extremely proud to accept the award on behalf of all the staff at PWS.”
The supplier awards took place during KBB Review magazine’s annual Kitchen Conference.
