Sheffield's WANdisco renews $1.87m US contract
Sheffield-based software house WANdisco has renewed a key contact for its products with a US Fortune 100 heavy equipment manufacturer, worth $1.87m.
Under the terms of the agreement, the manufacturer, which has been a WANdisco customer since 2011, has also agreed to use additional WANdisco ALM products and services.
Over four thousand of the manufacturer’s software developers will use these solutions across its locations in North and South America, Europe and Asia.
David Richards, chairman and CEO of WANdisco said: “This is a resounding endorsement of our technology, of our offering and of our strategy. This agreement represents a significant, long-term customer commitment to WANdisco, made by one of the largest and most successful firms on earth.
“It stands as testament to the value our solutions bring and is further evidence of the major role software plays across all industries.
“Most people don’t think about software development when they think about heavy equipment manufacturing, but the fact is that software is now a pervasive element of the global economy and most of the world’s software is developed using Subversion.”
