Snorkel Speaking at Prestigious Rental Conference
Nick Sowden, President of Snorkel Asia, is speaking at a major conference for China’s burgeoning equipment rental industry.
The International Rental Conference (IRC) will take place in Beijing, China on 14th October. The prestigious line-up includes some of the biggest names in the rental industry: United Rentals CEO Michael Kneeland; Gérard Déprez, CEO of Loxam; Leigh Ainsworth, CEO of Coates Hire; Jay Early, Vice-President of Europe, Middle East and China for Hertz Equipment Rental Co; and Bud Howard, Global Rental Director at Volvo Rents.
Nick Sowden said: “I was honoured to be invited to join such a great list of speakers at the inaugural International Rental Conference in China.
“China’s rental market is growing fast. Now is the right time to bring the industry together, to share best practice and start to build truly sustainable relationships between manufacturers and rental companies.”
IRC is organised by KHL, which publishes Access International and International Rental News. KHL claims it will be the highest profile rental event ever held in Asia - and the first time that the CEOs of the largest rental companies in Asia, North America and Europe have appeared together at a conference. It will act as a forum for the worldwide and Asian rental community, providing top-level advice on rental management and business trends.
The IRC will take place the day before the BICES construction exhibition in Beijing, at the Swissôtel in central Beijing. Chinese speakers at the event include Chai Zhao Yi, Managing Director of Shanghai Pangyuan Construction Equipment Rental, which is China’s largest rental company. He will be joined by and Wang Li Chun, chairman of Xuzhou Gongli Road and Bridge Construction Machinery Co, a rental company based in the city of Xuzhou in eastern China.
The conference has the support of the Machinery Management & Rental Division of the China Construction Industry Association (CCIA). The division’s managing director, Jia Li Cai, will officially open the conference.
