Cheshire firm to supply kit to Rugby League World Cup
Cheshire firm Chadwick Textiles will be supplying kit to volunteers helping at matches staged in Warrington during this year’s Rugby League World Cup.
The Altricham wholesaler and manufacturer already supply garments to brands and team sport retailers and will now be providing kits for all local volunteers who are involved on match days.
So far there are 59 signed up who will be directing people to the stadium and organising community activities on game days.
Joel Chadwick, owner Chadwick Textiles, said he is delighted the company are involved.
He said: “Chadwick textiles are delighted to be associated with the Warrington RLWC 2013 host town campaign. Rugby league is an important part of our textile and teamwear business these days and we have many rugby brand customers throughout Europe and in the north of England .
“This high profile international event is an ideal opportunity for us to help out on a local level as well as gaining us some good exposure for our successful teamwear garment range.”
Jan Souness, chair of the local RLWC2013 consortium, said: “We are extremely pleased to have Chadwicks on board to supply the kits for our local volunteers. With less than 40 days to go until the first match in Warrington , plans for match days have been put in place and we can’t wait to see the town centre come to life.”
“The RLWC will leave a lasting legacy in Warrington and these volunteers will be contributing to that and they are an essential part in making the tournament here a success.”
This news comes after it was announced Warrington-based retailed GetTheLabel.com has become a key sponsor of the RLWC2013 and will have full status as a ‘tournament partner’.
The Rugby League World Cup 2013 kicks off in Warrington when Samoa take on current champions New Zealand at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Sunday 27 October.
