Fashion guru Hemingway brings buzz to Lancashire’s Hive
Fashion guru Wayne Hemingway is lending his support - and adding a bit of buzz - to a Lancashire business leaders’ network.
The designer will be the keynote speaker at a meeting of Hive, a forum seeking to inspire prosperity in Blackburn and Darwen and promote business opportunities within the area.
Mr Hemingway, who comes from Blackburn, will be passing on business wisdom amassed from cultivating a leading fashion chain from humble beginnings and sharing his passion for the towns’ future as an enterprising and creative business hub.
He said: “Hive is all about getting stuck in to make Blackburn and Darwen the best they can be, and to play a small part in that is brilliant.
“I believe in the passion and creativity of the people of both towns, and for the business community to come together to raise aspirations, as Hive hopes to, is a great move.”
Chairman of Hive Khalid Saifullah said: “We are delighted to have Wayne come and speak with our members and the wider business community.
“Hive is continuing to encourage business leaders in Blackburn and Darwen to take shared responsibility in creating new opportunities for the businesses and people of both towns.
“We can be the catalyst to a resurgence in our local economy if we pull together, shout about what is great about our towns and share our expertise with each other.”
The event takes place at Crown Paints Learning Academy, in Darwen.
