Liverpool Chamber appoints International Trade Head
The Liverpool Chamber of Commerce has appointed Andy Snell as Head of International Trade.
He joins from his previous role as Head of International and Investment at Liverpool Vision where he led a team of representatives based in Liverpool, London, Shanghai and the United States.
As well as working to develop strategic relationships in India and the Middle East, Andy has also previously worked alongside public and private sector companies, such as Peel Group, Liverpool FC and the city’s universities, in a number of global campaigns.
He was also project manager for the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) in 2012, Operations Manager at the Liverpool Embassy in London, and also worked as part of the Liverpool Pavillion team at the Shanghai World Expo in 2010.
Mr Snell said: “Business owners need to understand the benefits that trading internationally can bring - but it’s a move that is best approached with support.
“The Liverpool Chamber of Commerce’s International Trade division has gone from strength-to-strength in recent years and has made real strides in nurturing city businesses and helping to unlock their potential overseas.
“This is an exciting opportunity and I look forward to working with its members and wider business community in the future.”
Jenny Stewart, chief operating officer at Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, said: “Andy brings with him a wealth of knowledge of global markets and an expertise that can only reinforce the valuable support we offer our members. I am delighted to be welcoming him to the team.”
The Chamber of Commerce delivers a range of services to assist Liverpool business export, often in partnership with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).
