Macmillan coffee event to honour departed parents
PMH Interiors based on Rutherford Street in Newcastle is hosting an extra special Macmillan Cancer Coffee Morning in its showroom.
Husband and wife team Paul and Michelle Harrison are opening up their showroom doors and open plan kitchen to treat the public, family and friends to freshly baked cakes and scones, gourmet coffee and herbal teas on 27th September 2013 from 10am This event has a special place in company director Michelle’s heart after losing both her parents to cancer, she said: “This year would have been my Mum’s 80th birthday, actually on the 27th September, so it seemed fitting to join in the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee morning campaign.
“Sadly, my father also passed away this year from cancer so it’s still very raw but through family friends and of course Macmillan, I am back to work and doing what I love at the showroom and our workshop. Cancer is such a devastating disease and the work Macmillan does for those affected is incredible and I am proud to support the cause.
“As well as running PMH, I love to bake, especially using the showroom kitchen, it has an AGA which, in my opinion, makes food just taste that little bit nicer. There will be a continuous supply of home baked goodies such as cakes and muffins. We welcome people to pop in and enjoy the food, drinks and surroundings. We have a lovely cinema room where people can enjoy a piece of cake and take advantage of the Bang & Olufsen AV system if they want. It’s all to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan so the more the merrier.”
PMH Interiors specialises in bespoke interiors such as kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms which are designed and made to the highest standards by its team of craftsmen. The company has also formed strong links with other well-known brands including AGA and Miele, enabling it to source high-end appliances for its customers.
PMH Interior’s Macmillan Cancer Coffee Morning is taking place on Friday, 27th September 9:00am - 2:00pm. The showroom is located on Rutherford Street in Newcastle, and is situated in the same building as audio, video and multimedia company Bang and Olufsen.
