Business Growth breakfast attracts leading Wirral companies
Over 40 of Wirral’s leading businesses came together at a special breakfast seminar to hear about the support and initiatives to help them plan for future growth and expansion.
The Business Growth Breakfast, organised by Wirral Business Partnership, in association with the Liverpool City Region LEP, enabled several business support and funding organisations to present about the challenges and opportunities facing business, and how best they can access the right support in financing projects.
This included keynote presentations by Liverpool City Region LEP, FW Capital, Wirral Council, Grant Thornton, Wirral Met College and MSIF, all with a positive message emphasising that for companies seeking finance for growth there is support and funding available.
Investment Director Paul Humphray of MSIF, which invests in small to medium sized businesses, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, felt that the event was positive and that there were opportunities for Wirral based companies to look at support available. “The Business Growth Breakfast provided the ideal setting to bring together a number of key funding organisations to an audience of leading business people allowing us to describe our activities and the support we can offer to high growth businesses or companies thinking of future expansion.”
The presentations focused on the essential issue of securing funding to support business growth, explaining how best a business can succeed in gaining funding, and also looking at some of the other funding programmes and government schemes that are currently available.
Gaynor Williams, Director of Bennett Williams Solicitors and member of the Wirral Business Partnership found the seminar very informative, “It was very helpful to have the funding organisations in one place so that businesses such as ours which may be considering future growth could clearly understand the opportunities that are available. There is support which companies should look at if they are thinking of expansion which will help innovative and ambitious businesses to grow and create jobs.
Throughout the coming months Wirral Business Partnership will be holding a series of seminars, clinics and workshops in assocaition with its business support partners to deliver a range of relevant business related topics which will provide businesses with knowledge and information which will encourage growth and employment.
