National award nod for North East property firm

North East property business KIS Lettings are celebrating nominations for two national awards.

The firm, who manage properties for 700 landlords from branches in North Shields, South Shields, Sunderland and Welwyn Garden City, have been nominated in the Best Agent and Most Innovative Agent categories in the prestigious Landlord & Letting Awards 2013.

The nominations follow a successful year for KIS which has seen the firm take the first steps on an ambitious journey towards a nationwide expansion by opening a branch outside their native North East for the first time, staff numbers reach an all-time high and turnover rise towards to £1m.

The Landlord and Letting Award nominations also recognise KIS’ commitment to innovation, with pioneering practices like being the first lettings agency to abolish deposits.

Instead of asking new renters to hand over hundreds of pounds they might not have – making it harder to find good tenants - KIS ask new tenants to nominate a home-owning friend or family member to guarantee their rent. Extra protection for landlords comes from an exclusive insurance product which eliminates lengthy legal battles and offers full financial cover.
