Blacks scoops Best Law Firm at Yorkshire Lawyer Awards
In a week of wins for the Leeds-based lawyers, Blacks has celebrated yet again after picking up the Best Law Firm (11-30 partners) title at the 2013 Yorkshire Lawyer Awards.
The prestigious accolade comes hot on the heels of the announcement of success for partner, Luke Patel, at the English Asian Business Award earlier this week, where he scooped Best Professional in Business.
The annual Yorkshire Lawyer Awards bring together the region’s legal community to recognise and celebrate its myriad achievements. Categories of awards cover everyone from the biggest corporate firms to leading barristers, from senior partners to rising stars.
Chris Allen, managing partner at Blacks Solicitors LLP who was named managing partner of the year at the Yorkshire event two years ago, spoke of the 2013 accolade for the firm: “I am incredibly proud of the whole team at Blacks for winning this award. We have continued our organic growth programme throughout the recession and I am delighted that our continued expansion and focus on delivery of a first class service has been recognised by the judges.”
Blacks is a 16 partner law firm that provides a range of services for owner managed businesses in Yorkshire and beyond, but has also embarked on niche specialisations in employment law, sports law and music law, which has earned an enviable national reputation in its first year.
Chris Allen added: “This award marks a huge milestone for us and I’d like to say an enormous thank you to our clients for their continued support.”
