Leeds music suppliers expand with funding

Leeds-based musical instrument suppliers and recording studio designers, Production Room Ltd, have secured funding from Barlcays to grow.

The firm, which was established in 2008, had experienced a difficult year and now plan to get back on track.

Paul Germain, partner Production Room Ltd said: “Following the down turn in the economy, we asked Barclays to help us review our business performance and with their help, we’ve managed to restructure our finances and improve operational efficiencies.

“As any business knows, we need to operate very leanly to compete and we’re confident that with the new banking arrangements we will be able to plan for the future and we’re now looking forward to further successful trading years.”

Production Room Ltd is run by three partners Paul Germain, Alison Lynch and Richard Powell and also employ a further six people locally. Based at Roseville Road, Leeds, turnover is expected to hit £1.78m this year.

The company operate a 6000 sq ft showroom with one of the widest ranges of recording studio equipment in Europe.
