Warrington based MDS announces ‘partnership for growth’ with eircom

Ireland’s largest telecommunications operator, eircom is to deploy Warrington-based business tech firm MDS’s next-generation Managed Business Support System (BSS) solution as part of its business expansion strategy.

MDS will provide its revenue and customer management solution which provides infrastructure and hosting services, as well as systems and application management, which will widen eircom’s offer to broaden solutions and services for government, enterprise and SME sectors.

The BSS system created by MDS is a market leader providing managed revenue and customer management solution for telecoms and IT service providers, to enable them to profitably grow revenue and effectively serve complex customer bases, in particular the business and virtual network operator markets.

MDS employ 180 staff at their new HQ at the Point, Birchwood Boulevard, Warrington with a further 35 staff based out of their Limerick site. Formed in 1988 when Chairman Martin Dawes built one of the first ever Mobile Virtual Network Operators in the world, the business has grown in status and is now a recognised as a world market leader.
