£1.4m sought for Yorkshire Dales’ Simonstone Hall
The specialist hotels team at the Leeds office of Colliers International has been instructed to sell Simonstone Hall in the Yorkshire Dales for offers around £1.4m.
The estate is well known for its idyllic location, overlooking Upper Wensleydale close to Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The hotel has 18 individually designed en suite letting bedrooms, characterful bar, restaurant, brasserie, lounges, function room, terrace and garden in a beautiful setting.
Famous Buttertubs Pass and Hardraw Force Waterfall are close by and the area will receive a huge boost from the 2014 visit of the Tour de France.
Peter Bean, director at Colliers International Hotels, commented: “The public areas with their open fires, panelling and ornate ceilings provide a really charming environment for guests and the views out over the terrace and the valley beyond are truly inspiring.
“The hotel is much loved by walkers, tourists, wedding and shooting parties, and has a consistently high level of trade.
“Having been in the same hands since 1996, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of Yorkshire’s best loved country house hotels.”
