Vanguard House fully let

CBRE’s Leeds Office Agency team has achieved full occupation at Vanguard House in Leeds with existing occupier Civica signing a deal for all 28,000 sq ft of office accommodation to support its continued growth and create a national Customer Showcase Centre. Civica was represented by Ian Culverhouse and Co in the deal.

Software and services provider, Civica, has occupied the first and second floors at Vanguard House since 2002 and, having recently established a national Call Centre operation within the building, has outgrown its existing space. The additional ground floor space will be transformed into a Customer Showcase and Leeds will be the only one of Civica’s 17 UK offices to house this facility, making it a national Centre. Completion of the Customer Showcase is scheduled for early 2014.

Vanguard House is a fully refurbished, attractive former mill building which occupies a coveted located near the M621 in Leeds City Centre. Around 200 Civica employees currently work at the historic building with further recruitment to support the continued growth of the business into 2014.

Steve Shakespeare, Managing Director for Managed Services at Civica, said; “The business continues to perform well with 11% growth in the last financial year. Vanguard House has been an excellent base for us so to expand within the building was an obvious move. We are excited to be building a customer showcase facility in Leeds and, together with our product and service teams and our existing national call centre, the development marks the office as a truly national centre.”

There is no higher praise for a building than when an occupier has enjoyed such success that it elects to expand within its existing location.”
