North East CCTV firm eye Irish market

A North East based CCTV and security solutions firm has been awarded its license from the PSA (Private Security Authority), which means they can now supply systems in the Republic of Ireland.

The expanding Sunderland company, Hadrian Technology, has been given the green light to install systems and advise those seeking out security solutions in the Republic of Ireland, a territory that is regulated by the PSA (Private Security Authority).

The PSA was established in 2004 as the statutory body responsible for licensing and regulating the private security industry in Ireland. It introduces positive, fundamental change in the industry using regulation and enforcement powers.

The PSA accredit companies when they fulfil a set of criteria which assesses everything from CCTV system design to planning, installation, inspection and maintenance. To meet the standard Hadrian Technology also had to impress the PSA with its environmental considerations and product recommendations.

Gary Trotter, general manager at Hadrian Technology said: “I am happy that our team has passed the rigorous tests that the PSA puts companies through. Methods of security are constantly changing, and CCTV needs to be approached and assessed in different ways depending on what it’s going to be used for.

“I think it’s great that the Republic of Ireland have the PSA keeping their finger on the pulse when it comes to what security is being installed and we’re very pleased to be welcomed into the industry.”

Hadrian Technology is now the biggest installer of HD-SDI CCTV in the UK and Ireland. This cutting-edge system offers an image quality that is better than Sky HD. They have vast experience in advising on appropriate systems, supplying project specific cameras, as well as delivering installation and maintenance to tight time scales across a wide range of sectors, including retail, leisure and domestic.
