‘Baking It Better’ With Miller

Leading housebuilder Miller Homes will be helping to ‘Bake it Better’ this weekend as it hosts a charity bake sale at its Acklam development in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

To mark National Baking Week visitors to Miller Homes’ St Mary’s Green development will have the chance to buy a cupcake during Saturday’s (October 19 2013) bake sale to help raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, supporting the work of one of the top paediatric research hospitals in the world.

Funds raised through the ‘Bake it Better’ bake sale will enable Great Ormond Street Hospital to provide world-class care for its young patients and their families and to fund pioneering new treatments and research for childhood illness.

Karl Morton, Miller Homes North East’s associate sales director, said: “We are thrilled to be taking part in National Baking Week and to support such a worthwhile charity by helping to raise much-needed funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. All are welcome to pop along to St Mary’s Green on Saturday to enjoy one of our cupcakes while making a real difference to children who require specialist care, and their families.”

Hayley Richardson, senior fundraising executive at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, added: “We’re delighted to be teaming up with National Baking Week this year and would like to thank Miller Homes for organising its bake sales.
