Fireworks spectacular to launch Liverpool flexible office scheme
The launch of Peel’s latest new flexible office scheme went with a bang as crowds were treated to a fireworks display at Princes Dock, Liverpool Waters.
The spectacle marked the official opening of ‘The Quay’ offices at Princes Dock which saw a grand finale of the Liverpool Waters logo lit up in flames. Guests were also greeted by resident flyboarder Jay St John who put on a aqua-batic show on the water at the Dock.
Sarah Syvret, Marketing, Events & Business Centre Manager, at Peel, said: “The fireworks show was a fantastic way to launch The Quay offices at Princes Dock, Liverpool Waters. This is the first of such a display to take place at Princes Dock organised by Peel, and we hope to hold many more events here in the future.”
The Quay is based on the ground floor of No.12 Princes Dock and offers a range of flexible office suites from100 sq.ft. to 470 sq.ft. All the suites offer floor to ceiling glazing providing waterside views across Princes Dock and state-of-the-art meeting room facilities for up to 12 people which are available to hire. Peel recently opened its dedicated Liverpool Waters project office at the Dock and welcomed its first tenant, international property consultant Dunlop Heywood.
Liza Marco, Property Manager at Princes Dock, added: “We are pleased to have officially opened Peel’s flexible offices at The Quay. Peel have a similar offer in MediaCityUK Manchester which has proved very popular with start-up companies and SMEs in need of centrally-located office space but aren’t yet in a position to commit to a longer lease.
“We’ve had a healthy interest in The Quay already, in part owing to the quality of the environment and the fantastic views over Princes Dock and the River Mersey. It’s well-known that the view from an office can have a transformational effect on the people working in them and each of The Quay suites benefit from floor to ceiling glazing which makes the most of this vista. We’d strongly recommend anyone interested in the offices to take a look around.”
Princes Dock is a hub of business activity set in 14.5 hectares, situated within the £6 billion redevelopment scheme of Liverpool waterfront; Liverpool Waters, which received Central Government approval for the planning permission in March 2013. The Liverpool Waters vision involves regenerating a 60 hectare historic dockland site to create a world-class, high-quality, mixed use waterfront quarter in central Liverpool.
Princes Dock is located adjacent to the Liver Building alongside the new cruise liner facility. The Leeds and Liverpool canal extension passes alongside. There are over 2,500 people employed within Princes Dock with occupiers including Coutts Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, Atlantic Container Liners. Occupiers benefit from on-site parking, 24-hour security, dedicated on-site maintenance team, on-site member health and leisure club, convenience store, cafe, bars, restaurants and a day nursery.
In addition to three Grade A office buildings, Princes Dock is home to two high quality hotels; the Crowne Plaza and Malmaison, three luxury apartment towers and a 760 space multi storey car park.
