Gott wants your Golden Garages
Leading garage equipment supplier Gott Technical Services is asking the public to tell them who should win their first ever Gott?s Golden Garages awards.
Designed to celebrate and reward excellent practice in garage equipment, maintenance, service and training across the North of England, Gott?s Golden Garage awards are seeking nominations for six different categories, with winners enjoying a VIP karting experience.
The awards are also giving people the opportunity to submit their award nominations via Gott?s new social media channels, including their blog site, Facebook page, and Twitter, as well as by more traditional methods of email and post.
Nominations are now officially open for suggestions for Best Garage, Best Mechanic and Apprentice of the Year, as well as the Future Talent Garage Award for the top college course.
In true Gott Technical Services style, there are also some light-hearted categories such as Best Kept Mechanic for the most vain mechanic in the industry, and Most Years on the Clock, recognising the industry veterans.
Gott Technical Services managing director Ian Gott said: ?We work with a wide variety of garages from small independent outlets up to national chains and pubic sector service workshops, so we wanted to recognise the very best in the industry. Maintaining a great garage requires commitment and investment in equipment, and skills, and those that are doing so are reaping the rewards.
?In the industry we all know of someone who seems to have worked in the field all their life, and there is also a mass of young up-and-coming talent in the North that deserves some recognition, which is why we introduced some people categories.
?On the fun side, for the Best Kept Mechanic category I expect we will see some more ironic nominations for the less-than-tidy mechanic ? so we look forward to seeing some amusing entries as well.?
Nominations are open from now until end of January 2014, with category winners to be announced in the New Year. The judging panel will be made up of a team of three Gott Technical Services experts, including managing director Ian Gott.
Ian Gott concluded: ?We just want people to have fun, enter their business, colleagues, friends or local garages they know and we look forward to taking the winners out on an exciting kart racing experience in 2013.
?If you have a winner in mind, make sure you get your nomination in now.?
