Creatives invited to tender for region-wide adoption campaign

Local authorities from across the North West are working together to launch a region-wide adoption recruitment campaign.

Led by Bolton Council, they have issued a tender inviting ‘innovative and creative agencies’ to help develop a regional brand for the group, a TV ad, website, PR and other supporting materials.

The aim is to address a shortfall in adoptive families for children in the north west and the initial creative brief will be delivered within a budget of £75,000. The contract will last for 12 months, with the possibility of two extensions for further years.

The campaign will utilise money given across local authorities in the north west via an Adoption Reform Grant – one of the measures which the Government announced to tackle a backlog of children waiting to be adopted back in January.

The tender bid says “22 of the 23 local authorities in the North West have agreed for a proportion of this (grant) to be used to develop a regional marketing campaign to take place to encourage more people in the North West to consider adoption.”

The deadline for expression of interest is 4pm on Friday, 1 November. The tender process can be accessed via The Chest procurement portal.
