North East accountants expand workforce with recruitment drive
RMT Accountants & Business Advisors is building on strong client demand by adding five further new faces to its expanding team.
Kayleigh Grieves, Jake Armstrong, Kathryn Morris, Kelly-Ann Wilde and Ryan Thompson have joined the Gosforth-based firm in a range of different roles.
Three of the new recruits - Kelly-Ann, Kathryn and Kayleigh – are now part of RMT’s specialist medical and healthcare division, which is acknowledged as one of the leading independent specialist healthcare accountancy practice in the UK, which works with many of the medical professionals both across the north east and beyond, including over a third of all the GP practices in the region.
Jake, who is fully ACA-qualified, is working across RMT’s portfolio of owner-managed businesses, as well as with a number of third sector organisations, while Ryan deals predominantly with the preparation of statutory company accounts for clients in a range of sectors.
Ryan and Kelly are qualified accounting technicians, while Kayleigh is working towards completing her AAT qualifications, and all will be supported by their new employers in gaining further professional qualifications.
Kathryn Morris, who is about to complete her ACCA qualifications, says: “RMT has a strong reputation as a local firm that also has clients all over the country, and I’d heard nothing but good things about them from both their clients and employees alike. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable, the work challenging and the staff welcoming.”
Kayleigh Grieves adds: “My role at RMT offers a lot of exposure to clients and the chance to build strong working relationships with them. There are lots of valuable opportunities for networking and meeting new people, my peers have been extremely helpful, and I’m being encouraged to take on as much responsibility as I feel confident in doing.”
RMT director Maxine Pott, who heads up the firm’s Medical & Healthcare division, says: “Bringing in the right people at the right time is a key part of sustaining the sort of business growth we’ve enjoyed this year, and we’re very pleased to be adding these extremely talented new recruits to the RMT team.
“Investing in our medical and healthcare division has been a real strategic priority for us this year. Demand for services in this area has never been stronger, and adding further resources in this area will enable us to continue to successfully grow our client base both across and outside the North East.
“Our aim is to continue to bring in more new staff as and when the right people and opportunities come along, and we expect the team to grow even further across all disciplines in the practice before the end of the year.”
