Elton John’s show experts expand in Barnsley
Elton John’s technical experts, Innovation Productions, have expanded into Barnsley with the help of Leeds City Region LEP.
The company which specialises in technical stage equipment, have also designed and supplied the shows of Leona Lewis, Katherine Jenkins and even McFly.
Huddersfield’s Andrew Pygott founded the company in 2000. He said: “We want to keep on working on high profile events and installations, but moving to bigger premises means we can also work with more small and medium scale clients, as we want to continue to support the roots from which we came.”
His company also provides support for not only big names but drama groups, festivals, theatres, schools, and corporate events.
Innovation Productions make the move to a 6,500ft warehouse in Barugh Green, Barnsley from Skelmanthorpe in West Yorkshire with a grant secured with help from Enterprising Barnsley.
With financial support from the European Union, Enterprising Barnsley have also aided them in training, recruitment and IT projects.
Shaun Higginbottom of Enterprising Barnsley said: “It’s really exciting to think that a Barnsley company is involved in such high profile events and that we have such expertise here in the town. And the bigger premises mean that they will be able to take on more clients and employ more people.”
