More success for corporate team at DWF
The North West corporate team at business law firm, DWF, has completed its fifth major deal over the past four weeks, following its work with Travel Entertainment Group Equity Ltd (TEG) on its sale to IFES Acquisition Corp Ltd – a subsidiary of Global Eagle Entertainment Inc.
TEG delivers in-flight entertainment services, primarily through its Knutsford-based subsidiary IFE Services Ltd, such as films, games and safety videos to over 50 airline and cruise ship operators across the globe, and its services will complement those already on offer from Global Eagle.
Global Eagle provides a full service platform, offering content and connectivity to the airline industry and the acquisition will expand its presence in emerging markets.
Frank Shephard, partner and head of DWF’s corporate team in the North West, said: “The team has been extremely busy over the past few months, not least advising the management team at Travel Entertainment Group on its disposal, the latest in a string of high profile deals. It is particularly pleasing that the team has completed a mix of M&A, private equity and public company deals.”
DWF has advised on four other major deals over the past four weeks, including advising leading financial and business services outsourcing provider Equiniti Group on the acquisition of Killik & Co Employee Services; advising Kindertons Holdings Limited, a nationwide provider of outsourced accident management services for insurers, on its sale to and investment by UK private equity firm, Sovereign Capital; working with LDC to perform a partial exit from social housing contractor Forrest, in which LDC now holds a combined majority stake with private equity firm Palatine who invested £16m in the business; and acting for LDC on a deal involving the sale of commercial energy management company Matrix to E.ON
