Business training course gets ready for a big launch

Two North East business women are collaborating to offer new and existing businesses some practical advice.

Alison Smith, of Gosforth-based Mark Stanley Accountants, and Maxine Johnston, of Maxine Johnston Marketing in Shotley Bridge, have come together to offer Essential Business Training, a unique opportunity for businesses to learn and develop existing skills.

The practical one-day course will cover the fundamental aspects of running a business and give delegates the key skills and confidence for when they get back to the office.

Alison said: “The training courses are absolutely ideal especially for small businesses.

“We cover bookkeeping and marketing; both essential tools for operating a business today.”

The business women realised there was a gap in the market and the training course is attracting the attention of business people and business support networks across the North East. The first training course is being held on December 5, and places are already filling up.

To mark the start of the new venture a launch party is planned on November 7, between 10 am and midday, at Perspective Business Centre in Consett.

Maxine added: “We want to get Essential Business Training started with a big bang and what better way than to have a launch party. All businesses are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there.”
