Deal complete on £2 million new cinema in Ripon

Leeds-based law firm, Blacks Solicitors LLP has advised property investors, Sterne Properties Limited on a leasing deal with independent cinema chain, Curzon Cinemas.

The cinema, which is currently undergoing a £2m refurbishment project, hosts two cinema screens, a restaurant, a bar and a private VIP area. The building is also home to nine flats, which have been created above the building. The trendy complex hopes to give North Street in Ripon the boost it requires to pull people from Ripon and beyond to visit the market town.

Since the deal was agreed with the help of Nick Dyson, Partner in Leisure and Licensing at Blacks Solicitors, North Street has already seen a rise in re-lets which aims to give the street a much needed boost.

The 12,000 sq. ft cinema will create half a dozen new jobs and is set to open in November 2013.
