Turkish delight for North East Blast Door firm
A North East firm has successfully secured a contract to manufacture and supply its products overseas into Turkey.
Cramlington based Pensher Skytech, part of the Renown Group, specialises in the design and manufacture of blast resistant products, including doors, windows, curtain wall and modular structures for a wide range of security applications.
The contract will see Pensher Skytech install its Series 3 range of blast doors into an oil refinery located within Turkey’s largest city, Istanbul.
The contract win comes as a result of extensive work to take the Pensher Skytech name and product offering abroad, and was headed up by Sales and Contract Manager, Simon Scott.
Mr Scott was thrilled to win a contract that represents the first major overseas contract for Pensher Skytech since Renown Group acquired the company in 2011:
“This is a milestone for Pensher Skytech, and after two years of putting ourselves back on the map in the UK since joining Renown Group, I am absolutely delighted that we are now widening our reach and developing an international customer base.”
There is also a very strong likelihood that this will not be the only overseas contract for Pensher Skytech this year, as Mr Scott added “we should be revealing our second and most exciting overseas contract very soon.”
