GVA lets former Carlsberg Leeds site to Royal Mail
GVA’s Yorkshire industrial and distribution team has let the former Carlsberg distribution facility, which has now been branded ‘Blue Steel 45’, to Royal Mail on a short-term basis.
The property is located within the popular Cross Green Industrial Estate and is one of the largest modern distribution units available in Leeds, extending to around 155,000 sq ft.
GVA is continuing to market the facility on a leasehold and long leasehold basis on behalf of A.D.Rodger and R.N. Phillips, Joint LPA Receivers.
Iain McPhail, associate at GVA, said: “The property has seen strong interest since becoming available and has benefited from the recent infrastructure improvements to the Cross Green Industrial Estate including the opening of Junction 45 of the M1 and upgrade of the A63 Pontefract Lane which links the estate with the M621.
“The property offers the market a well specified distribution facility with a mix of dock and ground level loading, quality two-storey offices and large secure yard.”
Meanwhile, GVA has also been successful in letting two units at the 1.3m sq ft Leeds Bradford Airport Industrial Estate to Fuzzwire, a local business headquartered in Keighley.
The units extend to 177,000 sq ft and have been acquired on a five-year lease.
