New recruits for finance firm as turnover tops £1m
A North East finance firm has appointed two new members of staff as turnover tops £1m.
After successfully growing its turnover to new levels, reward benefit consultancy firm WR Financial has recruited graduate Lauren Copeland and senior associate Jo Dora to strengthen its workforce.
The firm, based in Teesdale, Stockton-on-Tees, is also looking to grow its reward and benefit team further with the recruitment of two additional members of staff in the coming weeks.
Miss Copeland, of Stockton, has been recruited to work as an associate within the private client division of the firm. Her appointment is part of WR Financial’s graduate programme to help nurture and train employees from grassroots level.
The psychology graduate, who studied at Newcastle University is also a member of England’s Lawn Bowls team, will now take part in a structured five year training programme at the firm.
Whilst Mrs Dora, of Catterick Garrison, joins the rewards team with more than 12 years’ experience working within the financial and employee benefit industry. She will continue to gain knowledge by training towards her CIPD qualifications. WR Financial director Tony Slimmings said: “Jo and Lauren are fantastic additions to our already talented and experienced workforce.
“Annually we invest significantly in appointing graduates as we feel it is imperative to train and nurture our staff from grassroots level. Joining us as a graduate Jo will now begin a structured training programme that will lead her to acquire chartered financial status; ensuring she grows with the firm.
“Jo has been appointed specifically due to her extensive breadth of experience in the industry, especially as an employee benefit advisor.
“She will be a major team member in the reward division and support other staff as they are appointed in the coming weeks.”
