Corporate lawyers complete strategic acquisition for Netplay TV

A Newcastle-based corporate law firm has successfully helped a major gaming group in its acquisition of a new website.

Netplay TV has acquired interactive gaming group Vernons.com – which operates an online casino, bingo, poker and sports book – thanks to Square One Law.

The acquisition includes the brand, customer database and various other gaming assets.

Netplay TV CEO Charles Butler said: “This acquisition which will be immediately earnings enhancing, fits very well with the Group’s core business, adds scale and customer reach, and will be integrated quickly and efficiently to realise the excellent operational synergies.”

The transaction showcased the strength and depth of Square One’s corporate team as they were able to complete the deal in two and a half weeks as opposed to the standard four to six.

Advising the buyer on all aspects of the deal including trademark and domain name issues along with continuing relationship agreements, Square One Law was able to finalise the transaction with full support from all parties.
