In the Den with the Dragons
To celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week 2013, we are bringing together a panel of formidable Dragons from the very first series to the latest. This special event will give you the chance to learn from our no-nonsense experts about what makes a winning pitch and how to scale up your business.
Speakers include:
- Kelly Hoppen MBE, Current Dragon and owner of Kelly Hoppen Interiors
- Piers Linney, Current Dragon and co-CEO of Outsourcery
- Doug Richard, Series One Dragon and founder of School for Startups
Find out how they’ve all risen from start-ups to stars in the business world and how you can apply their tried and tested techniques to your own business.
Free live screenings of the event will be taking place across the country in Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield as part of the Business & IP Centre National Network.
Since 2011, the British Library has been developing plans to establish a network of Business & IP Centres with other city libraries which share the same core business collections in order to unlock the potential of Britain’s entrepreneurs. The first permanent Centre launched in Newcastle Library in April and the remaining city libraries will be opening services during 2014.
Each location will have their own local entrepreneurs to give advice how they set up in their cities. Local entrepreneurs include Kamal Basran from The Authentic Food Company, Dragon’s Den backed entrepreneur, Donna Kerr-Foley from The Running Mat and James Baordwell from Folksy.
You have the chance to network with other like-minded entrepreneurs and put your questions to our panel.
If you can’t attend any of the screenings, you can also watch the free live webcast and follow all of the action on Twitter using #BLGEW
