Exact Logistics expands workforce

A UK and European distribution specialist in Rugby has announced the expansion of its workforce to coincide with the nationwide Export Week campaign.

Exact Logistics on the Dunchurch Trading Estate has recruited Nauris Janulis to work as traffic supervisor.

The graduate from the Technical University of Riga in Latvia, who speaks Latvian, English, Russian and German, will also be working alongside academics at Coventry University as part of the Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise Network (KEEN) to develop Mobile Proof of Delivery and Driver Briefing programmes.

Adam Shuter, managing director of Exact Logistics, said: “Nauris also has experience of international transport and a degree in logistics and his work with Coventry University is the start of a partnership which we believe will be hugely beneficial.

“Nauris will be working on Mobile Proof of Delivery which means Exact Logistics knows within minutes that goods have arrived at their destination and Driver Briefing will ensure drivers are able to deliver the highest levels of service to both senders and receivers. “

Nauris’ employment means Chris Bennett has been promoted to business process improvement manager to help Exact Logistics work more efficiently by reviewing their in-house systems to support the developing business.

“Chris joined Exact Logistics when we started in 2009 and as the business has developed, he has developed as well and he fully deserves this promotion,” Adam said.

“His role is to support the growth of the business going forward to make us run more efficiently and to ensure we continue to prioritise customer service which is one of the key reasons for our success.”

As part of UKTI’s national Export Week, Exact Logistics has produced a top-ten practical tips factsheet on its website at www.exactlogistics.co.uk based on their exporting experience.

Adam said Export Week was a perfect opportunity to urge other local businesses to consider trading overseas.

He added: “The UKTI provides great support for those dipping their toes into the overseas markets and we are about to start its Export Communications Review to make sure we are communicating effectively with all our customers.”
