Recruitment company strengthens team

Newcastle-based recruitment firm CY Partners has added a new resourcer to its team to meet demands for its specialist services.

CY Partners specialises in scientific, pharmaceutical and engineering recruitment, however since the digital boom it has been placing a lot more IT and digital appointments as well as oil and gas so has been embarking on a recruitment campaign of its own.

22-year-old Graham Hankinson, who holds Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Newcastle University, previously worked as a business development coordinator for a North-East based design and manufacturing chemical & instrumentation company before joining CY Partners.

Daniel Younger, co-founder of CY Partners said: “We were looking for somebody to join the team to help meet the growing demand for our specialist services. We needed a resourcer to help source and place candidates in specialist positions, which Graham has already began doing since he joined the team.

“Graham is a local lad from Stakeford, Northumberland so he knows the North East well, making him a great fit. He’s made an excellent start and is a welcome addition to the Team at CY Partners.”

Upon his appointment, Graham said: “I was excited at the prospect of a new challenge and forming lasting working relationships within the scientific community so I was pleased to accept the position at CY Partners.

“When CY Partners contacted me I was very impressed by their attitude and work ethic with regards to recruitment therefore felt like I would be a perfect fit.”

Since joining the team Graham has already hit the ground running by sourcing and placing candidates in specialist roles. “A highlight for me so far was finding a Biomedical Science graduate working in retail part time and getting him a placement at a Pharmaceutical firm within two days of contacting him, it came with a good feeling of helping somebody out.” He added.

Established in 2008, CY Partners is independently owned by Daniel Younger and Probier Chatterjee who have over 20 years’ experience of industry specific recruitment. Since its inception, it has experienced significant growth on a national level with over 180 clients using its services to find staff.

The team works with companies to find suitable candidates for unusual or very specialist roles. It primarily operates within the pharmaceutical, scientific, FMCG, oil and gas and engineering sectors and its portfolio includes: SCM Pharma, Johnson Matthey, Geneius Laboratories, The Specials Laboratory and Leica Biosystems.
