Shortlist announced for North East Contact Centre Awards

Companies across the North East in line for prestigious industry awards have now been revealed.

Judges for the North East Contact Centre awards have this week unveiled their shortlist of organisations which are in line for a range of honours which will be revealed at the awards dinner on November 22.

Companies in the running include Northumbrian Water, More Than, RSA Group, Convergys, Barclays, Virgin Money, Leeds Building Society and Axa along with N Power.

Other organisations who have also been shortlisted for their excellence are Home Group, London and County Mortgages and the NHS Business Services Authority.

Individuals and companies from across the industry –which employs around 160,000 people – will be competing in ten categories

This year the event is being organised by Sunderland City Council, which has taken over the running of the ceremony to ensure that this important sector of the region’s economy continues to be recognised.

Headline sponsor for the event is NRG Resource Solutions, one of the UK’s most experienced recruitment agencies working in the contact centre industry.

“The number of entries and the range of companies shortlisted show what a vibrant industry this is within the North East.

“We are delighted that their professionalism and hard work is going to be recognised.”

Her words were echoed by Sarah Pierce from Hays Recruitment.
