City centre beer festival brings Liverpool Christmas cheer
Liverpool Organic Brewery has announced plans to hold its first-ever Christmas beer festival in the city centre.
The four-day event, billed as the ultimate office party destination, will run from Thursday December 5 to Sunday December 8 at the Black-E centre on Great George Street.
Merry festive drinkers will be able to sample more than 200 beers and ciders from microbreweries around the country, including a large selection of specialist Christmas tipples.
Mark Hensby, managing director of Liverpool Organic Brewery, said: “A Christmas beer festival is something we have wanted to do for some time and we are delighted to be bringing it to such a stunning and worthwhile venue as the Black-E.
“Guests can expect to enjoy the high quality range of drinks, food and entertainment of our other festivals, but with some extra Christmas magic sprinkled on top.
“Our beer festivals tend to be jovial affairs anyway, but the inaugural Christmas festival promises to have an added sense of occasion and festive spirit – and not just the Liverpool Gin!
“We hope it will be a big hit with people planning Christmas nights out with colleagues or friends.
“One note of caution, however - we will have spies in the room, looking for anyone secretly hanging mistletoe above our more handsome volunteers or Santa trying to sneak in down the chimney.”
Liverpool Organic Brewery held a major beer festival at St George’s Hall in September, in addition to two festivals in Waterloo in April and October this year.
