Charity & Social Enterprise, Building Futures East present at the Riverside Housing Garden Competition Awards Ceremony
Building Futures East’s staff who work closely with Riverside Housing on their Gardening & Environmental Maintenance contracts, took to the road on Tuesday 12th November to make the journey down to the Royal Station Hotel in York to present the winners and runners up of this year’s Riverside Gardening Competition with their certificates and trophies.
Horticulture Apprentice Bradley Appleby, Administrator Melanie Kent and Contracts Manager Caroline Hasson, alongside 5 other Building Futures East staff, had the pleasure of judging the gardening competition back in October and so were honoured to also be asked to attend the event and meet the entrants during the day.
Residents from Riverside properties across both the North East and North West attended and were able to show off their talents and creativity during the day as photos of their gardens were displayed during the presentation for all to admire.
Riverside’s Community Projects Supervisor, Carolyn Hewitt, was compere for the event and also in attendance from Riverside were Bob Coffer Assistant Director of Property Services, Joanne McNally Marketing & Communications Officer, Jo Pringle Rent & Service Charge Officer & Leanne Scott Supported Housing Coordinator.
Having worked closely with Riverside in the North East for the past 3 years, Building Futures East’s relationship grows increasingly stronger ‘season by season’ and being asked by Riverside to present at the event this year was both a pleasure and a priviledge.
