BCL Legal Birmingham Moves Office & Continues to Grow Team

Birmingham based BCL Legal – the specialist legal recruitment firm – has moved into a new office in the city centre to accommodate its growing team. It has also this week announced the arrival of a new member of staff who will be working across the Midlands and South West regions.

The company has taken out 1,642 sq ft of space on the sixth floor at Colmore Place on a five year lease. It was previously located on Temple Row in a serviced office. BCL Legal decided to make the move to ensure it has enough capacity for planned growth over the coming years. The new office will be able to accommodate up to 18 staff and includes dedicated reception and boardroom spaces.

James Brewster – business manager at BCL Legal - commented: “The last few years has seen BCL Legal grow and expand. We have built up a solid presence in Birmingham and we now work with clients and candidates right across the Midlands, the South West and beyond from this location. Our new city centre base is ideally situated as it’s less than a 10 minute walk from Snow Hill and New Street Station.

We’re also close to many of our key clients. James added: We outgrew our previous serviced office and it was no longer really fit for purpose. We have ambitious growth plans, and our aim is to expand our ranks by around 20% by the end of 2015. We therefore needed to gear ourselves up - especially as the market looks set to grow now the recovery has taken hold.“

In addition to the new office move, the firm has also announced the arrival of Bhavisha Duggal, 30, who joins as a legal recruitment consultant. Bhavisha’s core roles and responsibilities will be to recruit paralegals and solicitors for law firms across the Midlands and South West regions in areas such as insurance litigation. Her focus will be on defendant professional indemnity, defendant clinical negligence and personal injury roles. Before joining BCL Legal, Bhavisha worked as a lawyer for nine years including two years PQE as a family solicitor. Her most recent position was at Sehgal & Co.

Bhavisha said of her new role: “I’m really pleased to be joining BCL Legal at what is an exciting time for the firm. I think my experience of working as a lawyer will provide some valuable insight and knowledge that will benefit both our clients and candidates. My aim is to now help to build up BCL Legal’s network and presence in my regions and it’s a challenge that I am most definitely up for!.” From its network of offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Bristol and Reading, the BCL Legal team deals with the placement of lawyers at all levels from paralegal to partner within the private practice and in-house sectors on both a permanent and temporary basis.
