Leeds entrepreneur expands new B2B enterprise
Bsavvy, the brainchild of entrepreneur David Birks, has gone from strength to strength in the year and a half since its conception.
After 5 months online, Bsavvy has over 35,000 subscribers. With two sales people already, the company will be looking to add another in the new year to cope with the rapid expansion.
Bsavvy has already attracted clients such as Destination Sport and Magnitude Finance.
Tim Marlow of Magnitude said: “I have known David for three years now. Using his networking and marketing expertise he is extremely well connected in the Yorkshire business community.”
“We have agreed to partner with him on our new brand - Magnitude Finance as clearly a mutual benefit so he can assist us in getting our new product to the local market place to maximum effect due to his long standing client relationships.”
Founder and MD David, and co-investor Kelly Farrington of Media Wow, predicts another 250 clients by March next year, with 50,000 subscribers. Bsavvy is on course to gaining another 100 clients by the end of the year.
David wanted to create a network unlike others, somewhere Yorkshire businesses could go to advertise their services to other businesses.
He ensures that businesses are shown the benefits of the Groupon style B2B network before they commit in the long term. He aims to make Bsavvy the go-to website for businesses, with a business directory more efficient and specialised than Yell or any other potential competitors.
David was previously behind the franchising of JustEat.co.uk, taking the brand to Ireland, and wants to apply this model to Bsavvy in the future.
A native of New Farnley in Leeds, he left home at 16 to play football in America, returning in 2002 to play for Barnsley F.C. for 2 years.
