Nick Clegg commends Yorkshire IT company for apprenticeship win
Resolve IT Solutions has been recognised in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list, and recognised by the Deputy Prime Minister for their effort.
The list compiled annually by the National Apprenticeship Service in partnership with City & Guilds and recognises excellence in businesses that employ apprentices.
The list was announced at the National Apprenticeship Awards in Birmingham.
Since 2010 Resolve has successfully worked with Leeds-based QA Apprenticeships to recruit and train four IT apprentices, with all becoming full-time employees who are still with the company.
Resolve’s first apprentice, Alessandro, is now a member of senior management leading a team of IT engineers to look after one of Resolve’s biggest clients. Since January 2013, Resolve’s apprentices have fixed over 200 IT issues and spent over 600 hours supporting clients.
These efforts have contributed towards the business meeting its customer happiness targets, based on how quickly engineers can respond to and fix IT issues.
Commenting on the company’s entry in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list, Managing Director and Founder of Resolve IT Solutions, Andrew Seaton, said: “I’m so proud of the apprentices, and every member of the Resolve team that has worked hard to make our apprenticeship programme a success.”
“As a company recognised for delivering such a high standard of customer service it’s important that we choose apprentices with the right personality and communication skills, for us to give them the technical skills and development to match.”
“We are thrilled to be acknowledged as one of the best apprenticeship employers in the UK, and I’m looking forward to expanding our apprenticeship programme as we grow as a company.”
Junior IT engineer, Tobias Miller, completed his apprenticeship in July 2013 and adds: “I made the best decision of my life so far when I chose to become an apprentice. I have a job that I love at an inspiring company.”
Writing to Resolve IT Solutions the Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, said: “I would like to take this chance to congratulate Resolve IT Solutions on your success at this year’s National Apprenticeship Awards.”
“Apprenticeships are at the heart of our drive for a stronger economy: equipping people of all ages with the skills employers need to help their businesses prosper and compete in a global market.”
“And, as we work to increase the opportunities for hard-working young to people to achieve their ambitions through high-quality apprenticeship training, it is vitally important that we celebrate the achievements of employers like you, who go the extra mile to help their apprentices and succeed.”
