Tasty reward for 'friendly' motorists

Northumberland-based TASTECLUB, which provides corporate food and drink gifts, has secured an ongoing contract with the North East’s largest motor group, Benfield, to supply food hampers for its ‘refer a friend’ car scheme.

Customers who successfully refer a friend to one of Benfield’s 34 dealerships throughout the North East of England, Cumbria and Yorkshire will receive a complimentary hamper full of locally-sourced food and drink.

TASTECLUB, which is a not-for-profit business that supports the people who make, serve and sell Great North food and drink, has curated a hamper that showcases some of the region’s best artisan produce.

The special ‘refer a friend’ hamper features products from Heatherslaw Bakery, Corn Again, Manomasa, Fentimans, Kenspeckle, JR Jams, Carwinley Preserves and Tarset Valley Marmalade.

Andy Naylor, Benfield’s Group Communications Manager, said: “We are delighted to be working with TASTECLUB for our popular ‘refer a friend’ reward scheme.

“We have worked with TASTECLUB before, who provide a great service, and we look forward to building our business relationship with them. We’re sure that our customers will enjoy tucking into the special hampers.

“As a North East business, we were also keen to give customers a gift that would support the local food and drink businesses, so teaming up with TASTECLUB is a natural fit for us.”

Jane Hogan, Chief Executive at TASTECLUB, added: “We’re thrilled that one of the largest and best-known businesses in the region has chosen to support the Great North’s artisan producers by selecting us to supply the hampers.
