TOFFS and Shout Digital team up for winning website combination
The Old Fashioned Football Shirt Company (TOFFS) has combined its retro British ethos with the very best functionality expected by 21st Century online shoppers in its new website created by Shout Digital.
The Newcastle-based digital agency teamed up with the iconic North East football shirt brand to custom-build the new Toffs.com website, which went live on November 4. The redesigned site ensures customers enjoy an easy browsing and ordering experience, and provides the business with valuable information about its visitors.
TOFFS has been producing retro football shirts for fans around the world since 1990. The family-run business was looking for an e-commerce solution that presented customers with the vintage look and feel they love, but which was also equipped with the latest transactional technology.
Marketing manager Tom Finch, whose parents founded the company, said: “We opted for Shout Digital to design the new Toffs.com site because the agency offered a bespoke solution that reflects TOFFS and the bespoke nature of our brand. It was really important that the website showcased our Britishness and the retro appeal that is at the heart of what we do.
“We’re very proud to be a British-based, family business and overseas customers love that too. We sell all over the world and have a lot of customers in America. We’ve recently had an enquiry from Cameroon, so our new site had to be both attractive and easy to order from, wherever you are in the world.”
Shout Digital has a strong track record in creating transactional e-commerce sites and used its experience in providing bespoke solutions to create a new design and enhanced functionality for TOFFS.
Managing director Gary Boon said: “We’re extremely proud to be working with an iconic North East business like TOFFS.
“We wanted to build a website that demonstrated the authenticity of the TOFFS brand and product. We took the website back to basics and rebuilt from the ground-up by understanding the TOFFS business strategy, audience and vision, and translating that into the visual design and user experience you see online today.”
Shout, which has created websites and apps for customers as diverse as OK! magazine and Nova International, built Toffs.com on a stable, modern and feature rich ecommerce platform that also meets customers’ expectations of the TOFFS concept.
As a full-service agency, Shout is continuing to work with TOFFS to evaluate the new site’s performance. The agency is also responsible for the online marketing strategy, including pay per click (PPC) and search engine optimisation (SEO).
