Mezz in the City representing Yorkshire’s finest
Bankers, lawyers and solicitors from all over the city, attended the not-for-profit, non-membership event Mezz in the City in Leeds on Friday.
This well established quarterly ladies networking lunch was re-launched by Anne McCartney, of PricewaterhouseCoopers
The venue change to the Radisson Hotel in Leeds (in the Mezzanine) was behind the rebranding of this highly successful networking organisation.
The guest speaker for the lunch was from Links of London, with a business card prize draw for jewellery from their new collection.
Anne, who hosted this popular lunch with Sarah Hawkins from The Radisson Hotel, aimed to provide a much-needed informal networking event. Over 40 ladies from corporate firms in the city attended.
The Mezz (formerly Met) in the City events began in September 2010 as an alternative to other more formal events, that Anne felt hindered the development of strong networks, rather than helping them. She said “people want to meet people in relaxed settings” and the longevity of the Mezz in the City events is testament to the success of this ethos.
