Panel Warehouse keeps an eye on the ball with Irlam FC sponsorship
A North West manufacturer has thrown its weight behind grass roots sport, after signing a sponsorship agreement with local football team, Irlam FC.
Panel Warehouse, of Eccles, is now the main club development sponsor. As well as sponsoring the Man of the Match award and advertising at the ground – located on Silver Street – Panel Warehouse will sponsor local student and player, Jack Lee.
16 year-old Jack has grown up in the Salford area and is currently completing his studies in biology, business and sport at Irlam and Cadishead College.
After attending a recent Irlam FC game, Panel Warehouse CEO, Michael Rappaport, decided that as a local business, sponsorship would be a good way to give back to the community.
He said: “We’ve been manufacturing in Salford for the last 25 years and many of our employees have been born and raised in the area. Salford is a very close-knit area and we’re proud of our roots. If there’s one thing we’re good at in Manchester, it’s football and Irlam FC is no exception – it’s a pleasure to support the team.”
Irlam FC has three teams and was founded in 1969. Club secretary, Warren Dodd, expressed his gratitude to all at Panel Warehouse.
He said: “We are extremely grateful for Panel Warehouse’s sponsorship. Without the support of our local sponsors and friends we would be unable to deliver such a great sporting opportunity for the young people we engage with.”
