Leeds law firm reports 16.5% growth

Leeds law firm Clarion has put in another strong performance with a third year of double digit growth in difficult climate for legal firms.

Launched 6 years ago, Clarion grew turnover by 16.5% in the 12 months to 31 May 2013, increasing from £8.4m in the period to £9.8m.

“Clarion is an innovative, ambitious law firm with vision. Since our launch, we have worked hard to differentiate ourselves by our entrepreneurial approach and real understanding of the needs of our clients and this approach is paying off.

“Our solid financial performance has enabled us to invest in prestigious offices as well as continuing to develop the team,” explains Mark Burns, managing partner.

“While there have been some improvements in the economy, the legal market continues to be very tough and we expect to see further consolidation amongst our competitors.

“Our strategy going forward is to continue to provide practical, commercial solutions for value-conscious clients. The mix of services we offer is working well with our business, corporate recovery, private client and litigation offerings all continuing to grow. We are confident of once again beating our financial targets next year and we will also continue to focus on strengthening our long term relationships with clients and building an even closer team.”

The firm boasts a 100-strong team, including 18 partners, and last year marked another major milestone when it relocated to refurbished 15,000sq ft offices in Elizabeth House on Queen Street, in the heart of Leeds’ business district.

Clarion is a full services firm offering specialist service areas including corporate, commercial and IT; intellectual property; banking and finance; in house; international; corporate recovery and insolvency; dispute resolution and litigation; employment; fraud, crime and regulatory; costs and litigation funding; debt recovery; private client; and family.
