Oil and gas industry recruiters open new SA office
Altrincham-based oil and gas industry recruiter NES Global Talent is continuing its expansion with the opening of a new office in Cape Town, South Africa.
This will act as its hub for South-East Africa, with the company expecting to register for business in Mozambique and Tanzania early next year, where the company says a number of liquefied natural gas discoveries are being made. The Cape Town base will be managed by Etienne Swanepoel, who previously worked in the firm’s Perth, Australia office.
Kenny Davies, Major Project Sales Director at NES Global Talent, said: “The opportunity in South Africa is very exciting with many new and existing clients having expressed an interest in working with us.
“Indeed, activity across the whole of South East Africa is ramping up, with sizable liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) discoveries being made in a number of countries including Mozambique and Tanzania. We’re looking forward to having a physical presence to keep pace with the region’s growing hiring demands.”
NES Global supplies technical and engineering staff on permanent and temporary contracts to the oil, gas, infrastructure, rail, power, life sciences and IT sectors.
The company has already opened offices in Erbil in Iraq and in New Orleans, with a further 21 overseas sites set to be launched over the next four years.
These moves come as part of a £152m refinancing deal, which the firm announced earlier this year.
The refinancing has been syndicated through more than 15 UK and US credit organisations and will allow NES Global to make further acquisitions.
