Neighbouring business leaves home of 35 years to join MEPC Birchwood Park
MEPC Birchwood Park in Warrington is welcoming its latest new arrival, global developer and provider of high-quality and reliable fluid system solution, Swagelok Manchester.
The company has been based on the Park’s periphery for the past 35 years, but rapid growth of 60% in the last three years meant it was on the lookout for new premises.
Having witnessed the development of services and facilities on the Park in recent years, Swagelok Manchester realised the value of great amenities for staff motivation levels and work / life balance. After seeing what they were missing, they signed a contract for 10,000 sq. ft. of mixed office and warehouse space.
Swagelok Manchester’s new home at Birchwood Park has undergone a bespoke renovation to suit its needs. The move doubles the company’s footprint, enabling it to support business growth and to better support its customers. The office will feature bigger training rooms and better service facilities.
Jon Hall, managing director at Swagelok Manchester, said: “Swagelok Manchester has been located in the Birchwood area for many years, but with recent successes we felt it was time to make the move to the premium location of Birchwood Park.
“We were swayed by the facilities and what they could offer for our staff – in particular, the team are excited by the cinema and the gym, and the lovely nursery will enable us to help staff with children juggle their commitments.
“We have a customer base on the Park already, so it made good business sense for us to move closer to them. We’re looking forward to being their neighbours!”
Andrew Cowell, commercial director at MEPC Birchwood Park, said: “We believe that our continued investment in the Park’s services is what continues to attract businesses such as Swagelok Manchester to Birchwood Park.
“We’re sure that our top flight amenities, which go far beyond the usual office experience, will make their staff even happier during their working day.”
